Uniserve has expanded its decarbonisation efforts by adding 10 new

Volvo FH Aero gas-powered trucks to its fleet—the company's first

vehicles to operate on bio-LNG (liquefied natural gas). These

trucks will run 24/7, covering 300,000 km annually

between Chepstow and Yorkshire.

The decision follows a successful trial proving the fuel efficiency of

Volvo's FH Aero design, achieving 10 mpg performance. The

trucks will refuel at a new biomethane facility, built by ViGo

Bioenergy, which supplies waste-based bio-LNG with up to 79% carbon

savings.

Volvo's Camera Monitoring System replaces traditional

mirrors to improve visibility, and the trucks come with advanced driver

assistance and safety features. Each vehicle is backed by a Volvo

Gold maintenance contract for maximum uptime.

This move supports Uniserve’s commitment to sustainability and significantly

reduces fleet emissions, reinforcing its position as a leading UK

logistics provider.
