Fleet with New DAF XD Tippers
Cemex, a leading UK supplier
of readymix concrete, cement, and aggregates, has recently added 20 new DAF XD
410 eight-wheel tippers to its fleet as part of its vehicle replacement
program. These state-of-the-art vehicles, featuring DAF's ‘FAD’ 8x4 axle configuration,
underscore Cemex's commitment to advancing safety, efficiency, and
sustainability within its operations.
Equipped with cutting-edge
technologies, including a 4-Star Direct Vision Standard (DVS) rating and
innovative mirrorless camera systems, the new trucks are designed to protect
vulnerable road users while delivering superior visibility and clarity for drivers.
The fleet, supported by bodywork from trusted manufacturers Wilcox, Thompsons,
and CBR, and supplied by DAF Dealer Ford & Slater, reinforces Cemex's
long-standing partnership with DAF Trucks.
Performance and fuel
efficiency take center stage with PACCAR MX-11 engines, enabling significant
improvements in both environmental impact and operational productivity. Cemex's
meticulous evaluation process ensured that the XD models met high standards for
durability, safety, and driver comfort—key considerations for vehicles
operating across diverse terrains. With ergonomic cab designs and enhanced
visibility, these tippers provide an optimal working environment for drivers.
Cemex remains a leader in
sustainable construction solutions, operating 90 readymix plants, 22 quarries,
and a fleet of advanced marine vessels across the UK. Its dedication to
reducing its environmental footprint and delivering premium-quality products is
supported by expert teams and decades of industry experience.
