Leading Irish and European transport specialist, DG

McArdle International, has taken delivery of a flagship DAF XG+ 530

75 Years Truck Production Special Edition. The anniversary truck, supplied by

DAF Distributors Ireland (DDI), commemorates 75 years of DAF truck production

and joins McArdle’s established mixed-marque fleet, which includes over 30 DAF

tractor units.

The DAF XG+ sits

at the top of the New Generation DAF range, offering industry-leading driver

comfort, fuel efficiency and safety features. The 75 Years Truck Production

Special Edition model boasts a premium specification, marking an outstanding

milestone in the DAF brand’s history. It has been produced in a limited

production run with the DG McArdle International vehicle signalling production

chassis 64 of just 75 sold to customers across Europe, and the only one to

enter service with an Irish operator.

Established in 1993, family-run

DG McArdle International operates an extensive fleet of 4x2 tractor units and

trailers, specialising in temperature-controlled transport services across

Ireland and Europe. With its head-office in Dundalk, the McArdle fleet operates

out of its transport base in Dublin.

The company provides a

comprehensive range of services, including general haulage, Groupage, full and

part loads, refrigerated transport, pharma and security, and warehousing and

logistics. The new XG+ has been allocated to a dedicated

driver, who has provided positive early feedback on the vehicle’s comfort and

driving experience.

“DAF and DDI bring us value for

money, service, and backup – key factors in decision-making for any fleet,”

said Managing Director, David McArdle. “Our new DAF XG+ is an

extra special addition to our operation, and we’re pleased to share this

anniversary milestone with DAF. It’s a top-of-the range truck that represents

the best of DAF innovation and quality.”
